Student Work Study Program

You can help to make a difference in Peru while earning credit toward your Master´s thesis or university Internship.

At Hampy we have created an innovative work-study program which allows students to become fully immersed in Peruvian culture while gaining hands-on experience in an organized placement -  individually designed to meet the student's goals and expectations.

All of our Master's thesis and Internship students receive a thorough one-on-one exploration of all placement options as well as site visits and interviews with professionals at those locations. Students will be able to access testimonials from past participants, evaluate different projects and during their initial immersion period, determine which option is best suited to their individual goals and study requirements.

Hampy administrative staff works collaboratively with universities to ensure that all time requirements and documentation are completed in compliance with university standards. In addition we have the necessary connections in place to ensure admission of our student participants into a variety of government and private institutions within the Cusco area.

All participants in either our Master's Thesis or Internship programmes can expect on- going mentoring, progress evaluations and consistent communication with Hampy director Jorge Delgado. We can also offer both the facilities, and administrative support for processing research and compiling thesis information.

All students will participate in our three week cultural immersion and language training program* enabling them to communicate with an intermediate Spanish level. As well they will be able to enter their field placement with a general understanding and basic knowledge of Peruvian culture, politics and social traditions.

Costs:

1 week training program:  S/. 350 nuevos soles (peruvian money)

Spanish lessons are not included.

3 weeks training program: S/. 1050 nuevos soles (peruvian money)
