I only have good things to say about my experience with Hampy. Our first week working with this organization was greatly beneficial. It was a week of orientation where we visited the community of Chocco where much of Hampy´s volunteer work is done. We We learned about the culture and history of Cusco as well, but mostly explored what the needs were in Chocco where we felt we were best suited. The decision of our project was completelt up to us.

I know other volunteers who felt as though they are "thrown" into their project with no guidance or direction, or that their organization or placement was only interested in the money that they had to offer. With Hampy this is not the case. you are given much direction of what is espected.

The director of hampy, Jorge, is very dedicated to the community of Chocco as well as the volunteers that work with him. He always has open communication with the volunteers and is willing to make changes and is going to help you to make your volunteer experience what you expected it to be. He is very open to opinion.

I strongly recommend Hampy and guarantee that you will have a great volunteer experience with this organization.
